Summer Preaching Plans

Dear Beloved of Salem,
During a recent meeting with Pastor Zac and Pastor Jordan at Atonement, we asked a really logical question of “why aren’t we sharing preaching responsibilities?” The initial plan was for Pastor Zac or Jordan to preach the Atonement “lead” services (Saturday and early Sunday) and for me to preach our 11:00 service. But, in order to foster a sense of collaboration and to work smarter (not harder), it was decided that the three of us will share preaching duties this summer. I want to be clear: no matter whether or not I am preaching, I will be present at every Sunday service through the summer (with an exception of one where I will be on vacation). I want to be able to see all of you, no matter what service you choose to attend. I also want to “attend” worship, as I need to be fed spiritually too. However, I also wanted to share the preaching and presiding schedule with you. Presiding means the person that will bless the meal, lead the liturgy, and basically be the assisting minister.
The plan is as follows:
May 31: Pastor J preaches and presides at 11:00 a.m. service only
June 6 & 7: Pastor J preaches all three services; Pastor Jordan presides on June 6; Pastor Zac presides on June 7
June 13 & 14: Pastor Zac preaches all three services; Pastor J presides on June 14
June 20 & 21: Pastor Zac preaches all three services; Pastor Jordan presides all three services
June 27 & 28: Pastor Jordan preaches all three services; Pastor J presides June 28
July 4 & 5: Pastor Zac preaches and presides all three services (Pastor J on vacation)
July 11 & 12: Pastor J preaches all three; Pastor Jordan presides on July 12
July 18 & 19: Pastor Jordan preaches all three; Pastor J presides on July 19
July 25 & 26: Pastor J preaches all three services; Pastor Jordan presides on July 26
Aug. 1 & 2: Pastor Jordan preaches all three services; Pastor J presides on Aug. 2
Aug. 8 & 9: Pastor Zac preaches all three; Pastor J presides on Aug. 9
