A Good Habit

One of the best habits that we can establish in our lives is reading our Bible daily. A Bible feeds you mentally just like food feeds you physically.

Man does not live by bread alone, but man lives by every word that comes from the mouth of the Lord.
— Deuteronomy 8:3 (ESV)

No matter what our mood is for the day, reading a few verses can calm us and set us on the path for a better day.

God’s word can give us armor and strength to get through the hardest of times.

God’s word can clear our minds so we can make better decisions.

God’s word can warm and heal our hearts and help us to love and forgive.

You can start reading a small amount. Just a few minutes a day can make a difference in your life.

  • Find a quiet place to read.
  • Use a notebook and take notes on verses that have meaning to you.
  • Try to do this at the same place and time each day to create a habit.
  • After you read, think about what you have read. Apply it to your own life.

It does not matter how much time you spend. The fact that you are spending quiet time with God’s word every day is what is important.
