To Forgive and Be Forgiven

Have you ever found it difficult to forgive someone? Why is it so hard to do sometimes?

If we can forgive, we are letting go of blame and suffering that we are holding inside. This can lead to pain and depression if we are not able to move on.

To not forgive can make you exhausted. You think about it too much. It can mentally and physically take its toll.

God wants us to have grace and forgive each other.

We all have sinned. God will judge our sins when we meet Him someday. It is not our job to judge each other.

For if you forgive other people when they sin against you, your heavenly Father will also forgive you. But if you do not forgive others for their sins, your Father will not forgive your sins.
Matthew 6:14-15 (NIV)

Because we are human, showing forgiveness can be one of the hardest things we do in our lifetime. We should always strive for it. This is how we move forward when bad things happen in our lives. It takes prayer, strength, and an abundance of faith in our Holy Father to forgive each other.
