Life Transitions

I find it hard to believe that 2023 is upon us. We all experience that feeling of time moving more quickly as we age. Do you ever stop and think about how much you have changed over the years? We all change physically, but we also change mentally, as well. This is all in God’s plan for us. What was very important or interesting when we were teenagers may not hold as much interest now. We look at life in a different way because of our experiences.

We gain incredible amounts of knowledge, hope, faith, common sense, empathy, and many other life lessons along the way. God has been there with us on every incredible step of this journey.

When we age into the last quarter of life our energy may not be what it used to be. The opportunities may not be what they once were. Things that used to define us are now different.

God knows this is a struggle and challenge for us as we age, and he invites us to change from within. We may have more time to devote to God’s good works when we retire. We have more hours in a day to do good in the world. There are so many opportunities out there to explore.

God does not want us to stop living our life when we enter this season. He invites us to look at our lives differently. Make new goals and do new things for our mental and physical health. Pursue something that we have never had the opportunity or time to do. Help others and help the community we live in. We are aging, but we are also transitioning to a new part of life that is filled with faith, hope, and new experiences.

You may no longer be able to do the things that were always familiar to you, but God has a new plan that you should listen to.
