Salem Kids

I think we can all agree that youth and children’s programming across the board took a hit during the pandemic. And yet, I’m so thankful for Lorel Brown, Lisa Taylor, Charlotte Wallenburg, and all of the volunteers who have found creative ways to support our kids at Salem.

Next week’s musical camp is something I have missed very much in the last two summers, and I can’t wait to spend every morning singing and laughing with our kids! Next Friday evening at Koinonia Hall, we’ll have our first VBS since 2019. We’ll combine our fun for kids on Sunday morning, July 24, with the musical in both services and last day of VBS.

If you’ve missed interacting with our awesome kids, please contact Lorel (lorel.fox@gmail.com) and volunteer to help with VBS! In the musical and at VBS, you’ll see many of our 6th graders who are heading into middle school.

We also have an amazing group of 9th graders excited to start high school. We are in need of adults who want to encourage our fantastic teens this fall on Sunday mornings. Please contact Lisa Taylor (4kctaylors@gmail.com) or Pastor Jon (pastorjon@salemlutheran-ks.org) if you’re interested in helping with our teens. They will inspire you as you inspire them!
