An Open Letter to Salem Lutheran

Dear Salem Lutheran Church,

My family of five has been so blessed by this congregation. We’ve loved worshiping, the children’s choir, Sunday school friends, decking the halls, packing Pantry Pack boxes, taking trips with the youth, playing games, great conversations, having plenty of baby snugglers, cooking BBQ, and walking this journey with all of you.

We are sad to leave, but we’re excited to watch the adventures ahead for Salem.

Please remember that this community is blessed with a multitude of gifts. Salem is scrappy, faithful, and will survive this part of the journey, even though the path forward isn’t clear right now.

Salem has been a blessing to our family and we will continue to pray for you, cheer for you, and celebrate the awesome things God is doing here.

Much love,
Emily Nelson Dixon
Director of Teen Ministries and Outreach
