It Still Takes a Village

Fall has arrived, and with it comes football, foliage, and pumpkin spice everything. In the Salem office, one of the things I’m focusing on this fall, with the help of Lisa Taylor, is our Time and Talent campaign. In case you’re not sure, Time and Talent is Salem’s annual campaign to reach out to members and ask them to become involved in one of the many ministries at Salem.

And, if you don’t know this, let me say … there are so many ways to be active in the Salem community!

Over the next few months, you will probably start seeing and hearing more about the ministries at Salem. Lisa and I are discussing ways to highlight all the moving pieces that make Salem tick. If you are a team leader, we may be talking with you about your particular ministry and what volunteer needs you’ll have in 2020. If you haven’t been active at Salem in the past, now will be the time to really see if there is a talent that you have that fits with a specific ministry need.

In speaking for the church staff, we know life is busy and we truly appreciate each one of you who digs in to help out any way you can. The saying, “It takes a village,” still rings true today.
