Worship/Music Ministry Team

The Worship and Music Team is blessed to have a dynamic and talented group of people where some of the team works in very visible positions and yet others are effective in making those important team-functioning/behind-the-scenes decisions.

The team is very involved in organizing many things throughout the year. Worship assistants are scheduled for the year and training is provided to our acolytes and crucifers as needed. Worship assistants change every Sunday according to a schedule and include those who perform the tasks of lectors, communion assistants, greeters, ushers, acolytes, crucifers and nusery assistants. The music directors are always busy planning rotating performances for our Sunday School choirs, chime choirs and adult choir. Still others are involved with individual and group singing performances while our talented musicians participate in our congregations two praise bands.

Throughout the year, many different events occur. Services are lead by the youth, men and women of the church. The Maundy Thursday service and meal are prepared, and the Good Friday service is presented in an all music format. In the late summer, an Outdoor Service takes place at the late service.

Altar Guild

The Altar Guild is also a part of the Worship and Music Team. Without them, Communion would not go nearly as smoothly as it does. In addition to altar care and communion preparation, the Altar Guild also arranges for floral arrangements to be displayed on the altar every Sunday.
