Christianity continues to struggle with a spiritual identity crisis. Recently, the Pew Research Center reported that the number of Christians in the United States is expected to decrease to between 35% and 54% of the population by 2070. September is one of the busiest months of the year. In a strange way, it seems like the beginning of the holiday season. The retail stores are certainly trying to tell us that we better go to the stores and start buying things for Halloween, Thanksgiving, and Christmas all at one time.

Summer is almost over. School started a couple of weeks ago, and before you know it there will be a chill in the air. It is time to get all of those things on your summer “bucket list” done before you run out of time.
Kids started a normal school year for the first time since 2019. Masks are optional, classes are normal schedule, and activities are back in full swing.

I’m not a fan of conflict. Thankfully, I didn’t have to deal with it much growing up; my extended family all got along and went out of their way to spend happy time together. My parents were older when I was born. Therefore, only one grandparent was alive when I came into the world. I had the best grandmother in the world. She was an elderly woman. Small but mighty. She was grumpy and harsh sometimes, but that never affected me. She never spoiled me as a child. She could not afford to buy me things.
