Service Times
8:00 am
Our first service on Sunday is a traditional Lutheran Communion Service with more traditionally sung hymns.9:30 am (Summer Schedule)
10:30 am (Winter Schedule)
Our second service is a contemporary Lutheran Communion Service with more contemporary songs and small groups. There is also a supervised nursery available. The summer schedule has a 9:30 am service that is every Sunday from Memorial Weekend through Labor Day Weekend. During the winter schedule Sunday School classes will be at 9:15 am.Salem has lots of special events going on throughout the year. Those events are generally noted on the Church Calendar.
Sunday School

Salem provides Sunday School programs for Pre-K youth through Adults. Sunday School is offered from September through May on Sunday mornings at 9:15am. Our Vacation Bible School program is provided in the summer for youth ages Pre-K through 6th grade! Our Education Ministry at Salem is exciting and growing! Come and join in the fun!
Confirmation Classes
Salem’s confirmation program is a two-year program based on the Faith Inkubators Head to Heart Program. Learning sessions include quiz bowls, skits and breakout sessions. Confirmation youth meet several times a month on Sunday evenings beginning in September and running through May. Social events and community service projects are included in the program! Come and join us and you will see that our confirmation is not your parent’s confirmation!
Ministry Teams
Building Team
The Caring Connection is a congregational support ministry that was established to help the members of Salem assist each other in times of need.
Communications Team
The Evangelism Team encourages and plans ways for the Salem members to intentionally reach beyond themselves to share the Gospel with others.
The Educational Team serves as a planning and visioning team for all educational opportunities at Salem.
The Outreach Team serves in our community within and beyond by sharing our beliefs, talents and resources.
PMC Team
Salem has finished the “Discovery Phase” of the PMC process where we learned more about Salem and our surrounding community. Salem is now in the experimenting phase where members of the team visit with people in the community to get an idea of missional opportunities. The ultimate goal of PMC is to change our culture to serve the needs of the community.
The Property Team keeps the grounds and facilities maintained and looking good.
The Stewardship Team increases awareness of what stewardship is, and encourages the giving of member's time, spiritual gifts and money.
The Worship/Music Team helps in planning music and getting assistants for worship services.
The Youth Ministry strives to serve the entire congregation and is made of five different age groups.
Salem Groups
This group of Salem members can probably recall more of Salem's history than anyone else and their purpose is to provide fellowship and do outreach projects with a group of seasoned church members with like ideals.
Play Group
Play Group is activity (event/gathering) for stay-at-home parents and their children.
Angels
The Angels are children in grades kindergarten through second.
FROGs
FROGs (Fully Rely On God) are third to sixth graders.
CrossTraining
CrossTraining are youths in seventh and eighth grade who are in training for Confirmation.
CrossRoads
CrossRoads teens are ninth to twelfth graders who meet for social activities and do a variety of service projects.
Book Club
Adult discussion group for book readers that meets bi-monthly.
Adult Choir
Children's Choir
Praise Band
Youth Band
Jr. High and High School musicians that practice weekly and play the liturgy and music once a month during the second service.
Women's Fellowship
Women's Bible Study
The women’s bible study meets weekly on Thursday mornings during the months of September through April.
Men's Breakfast
Men of all ages that meet the first Saturday of each month at 8:00 am for fellowship, breakfast and discussions, presentations or service projects.
